Bath bombs, bath soaks and whipped soap are different products with different jobs. A bath bomb is a solid, fizzy blend of bicarbonate soda and citric acid that dissolves quickly, releasing colour, fragrance and oils into the water purely for a fun, relaxing soak — it doesn't clean your skin. A bath soak is mineral-based (like Epsom salt) and dissolves slowly to help ease sore muscles and tension, without fizzing or changing the water's colour. Whipped soap is an actual cleanser — a light, whipped lather you massage onto your skin in the shower or bath to clean and moisturise, then rinse off.

Yes — since it fully dissolves in water, there's no reason it wouldn't suit a spa bath or jacuzzi the same way it works in a regular tub.

Just one bath bomb makes for a full, fizzy bath — though there's nothing stopping you from dropping in a second if you're after an extra-fun, extra-fragrant soak.

It depends on the colour bath bomb you use — some of our brighter shades can leave a temporary tint on certain tub surfaces. If that happens, a gentle scrub with a cleaner like Gif or The Pink Stuff will take it right off.

Every Mallow product is handmade fresh to order rather than mass-produced ahead of time, so there's no printed use-by date on the label. We'd recommend using a bath bomb within 3 months of opening, and storing it in a cool place away from direct sunlight and heat, the same way you would any skincare product.
